Zinnia and / or Monarch Costume Contest / Concurso de Disfraces de Zinnia y/o Monarca
The Zinnia and Monarch Festival is Zion Township’s summer celebration celebrating the Zinnia as the Zion flower since March 20, 2018 and embracing being a Monarch City USA since April 6, 2021. Festival activities include a coloring, front yard, and photo contest, entertainment, food trucks, games, crafts, pinatas, a Monarch release and more. The festival is the 3rd weekend in August.
To enter the Costume Contest: Show us your creativity by rocking out your own costume representing Zinnias, Bees and/or Monarchs. There is no age limit for participation. Prizes will be awarded at Sunday’s Festival to the best dressed kids and adults on stage at 3:30pm.
Para participar en el Concurso de Disfraces: Muéstranos tu creatividad luciendo tu propio disfraz que represente zinnias, abejas y/o mariposas monarca. No hay límite de edad para participar. Los premios se entregarán en el Festival del domingo a los niños y adultos mejor vestidos, en el escenario, a las 3:30 p.m.
